This week Fareway's ad is corporate, which means we should all see the same specials. While it often seems that a lot of the deals are for what we might call "junk food", this week I'm seeing a few good deals on some more healthy options! Fareway has Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast for $1.88/lb. with the in-ad coupon, fresh strawberries for $1.28/lb., Green Giant Potatoes for $1.68 (5lb. bag), Dole lettuce @ .88/head, and Jonagold apples for .88/lb. They also have Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice @ 2/$3, Keebler Townhouse Crackers @ $1.88, and Hershey's brand candy bars @ 10/$5 with in-ad coupon (okay...this isn't the healthy option!). You should find a coupon for $1.50/1 on the crackers at kelloggsfamilyrewards if you have 1000 points, making the crackers only .33/box and there is a $1/3 coupon for Reeses in the 2/23 SmartSource newspaper insert, that you could stack with the in-ad coupon (if you have 3 of these coupons, your price would be 10/$2). I also see store brand ketchup 32oz. @ $1.28.
At Hy-Vee, most of the deals I'm seeing are on the 2-Day Sale. They have Sun Chips @ 3/$5, Weight Watchers Smart Ones @ 8/$10, 7-Up 2 liters @ .59, Pillsbury cake mix @ .88, Hamburger Helper @ .77, hamburger & hot dog buns @ .88, and Purex 128oz. & 150 oz. (big bottles) @ only $3.48! The regular ad has Oscar Mayer meat hot dogs @ .99 win in-ad coupon, which is better than last week's deal! I also notice they have a meat bundle for $50 with a .25/gallon Fuel Saver. This is something I would be very careful of. Be sure you figure out your price per pound because you likely should be able to get your items individually for better prices when a sale comes around...be sure to do your math! You can find manufacturer's coupons for many of the products I've listed, making for some outstanding deals! I want you to get used to using a coupon database to find your coupons, so I'll leave it a mystery as to how good some of these prices will be! ;-) I have helped by giving you the link to the database, so get busy and start searching! :-) Just enter the name brand or product into the search field, and if there are coupons available, it will tell you what is available and where you could find them! If there are printables, they will give you a link! Now if you see a good price that I haven't mentioned, you will be able to check to see for yourself if you can make that deal even better! *Hint: Be sure to search Purex and 7-up...and others too! If there are product you use regularly and you find a coupon, be sure to clip or print it and save it for a sale later!
These are some of the deals I'm seeing for this week!
