Romans 8:29 says, "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son."
Jesus is called Teacher, Rabbi, Master, Lord...but few call Him a humorist. Yet a look at Scripture demonstrates just how quick, witty, and playful he was. Why else do you suppose little children flocked to Him?
"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God," He told his disciples. Wouldn't they laugh at the absurdity of the image. However, today we take Jesus so seriously that we miss his sense of humor and the twinkle in His eye.
Creation tells us, "When God created man, He made him in the likeness of God." And the apostle Paul encourages us: "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory." If we don't have a twinkle in our eye and a humorous perspective on life, then we are not being as much like Christ as we might think.
Don't miss out on one of the best part of being His child. Laugh with Him! He loves you!
