Proverbs 10:21 says, "Good people's words will help many others."
Barnabas, a man whose name means "son of encouragement" was a leader in the early church. He was known for his kindness and for his ability to encourage others. Because of Barnabas, many people were introduced to Christ. Today as believers we must seek to imitate Barnabas and encourage others.
We imitate Barnabas when we speak kind words to our families and friends; when our actions show what we believe, and when we are generous with our possessions.
Be like Baranbas: be a source of encouragement to everyone you meet. When you do you will quite literally change the world, one person and one moment at a time.
