2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV)
The need for CFE’s services is growing. We have been trying to strategize how our ministry can keep up. This week, spontaneously, CFE staff went around the table and each tried to put into words our “Why”—the reason we keep coming back to work every day. I wish you could have all been here to listen to the love, heart, hope, gratitude and praise that poured out! God is so great!
One thing became abundantly clear—God has obviously led each of us to this ministry and intends to use us here to be a blessing to others. His perfect plan for us is to help others view their finances as a blessing from Him and to manage them (and the other talents He has given them) wisely and to His glory and honor. He uses us as a conduit for hope, grace and empowerment. We have all seen His immediate answer to our prayers with clients, as the Holy Spirit lightens the burdens of their shame and despair over money and fills them with hope. It is amazing to witness the miracles God pieces together for our clients every day, in ways that only He can! Our greatest reward is watching clients move from living as a victim to recognizing their worth as the beloved children of God.
It was so humbling to see how powerfully committed each of the CFE staff is to the calling He has laid before us!!!
As I mentioned, CFE is growing. Right now, your financial is critically important. Last year, we fell short of our $190,000 annual budget by $40,000. This year, in addition to making up that shortfall, God has led us to new staff, increased staff hours, more classes, more potential office locations and a steady stream of new struggling clients—therefore a larger budget of approximately $200,000 for 2017 and even more for 2018. We know that where God leads, He always provides!
At this time, we need $60,000 by September 1, 2017 to get to where we should be financially at this point in the year. You are an integral part of His provision. Your prayers and guidance and support are essential and you bless us in this journey every day. We are learning to be obedient to the direction He takes us, even when He doesn’t always lay the growth out in ways that we understand. As an organization that “preaches” the need for careful budgeting, mindful spending and forward planning, sometimes we get a little anxious as the growth and the provision don’t always align. But He always provides—even as we were typing this letter, He began answering our prayers.
Please help us keep up with the direction God is leading us. Give as God leads you today to help us make up the shortfall. Also, please consider becoming a CFE Champion by giving monthly.
Will you help us continue touching lives for Christ?
